Job Responsibilities:
Rigger / Yard Tech is responsible for rigging, and hoisting into position machinery and equipment. This position is located in Arcola Texas.
Job qualifications and experience:
- Dependable, with strong problem solving skills and an excellent safety record.
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Has 0-5 years of experience with cranes or heavy equipment, repair, and maintenance.
- Required to pass the NCCCO.
- Possession of a Operators Certification of Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes is a plus.
- Prepare work order documentation and intermediate computer skills.
- Good communication and organization skills.
Physical job requirements:
Job position is very physical and requires the individual to be able to perform duties and work long hours outdoors in a variety of weather.
- Extensive requirement to climb, pull, stretch, twist onto large crawler cranes.
- Climbing and working at heights of 25 feet with proper tie off and safety equipment.
- Must be flexible and mobile to work in confined areas and able to stoop, crawl and maneuver in small confined spaces.
- Distant vision of 20/40 or better in each eye separately and binocular, with or without correction.
- Repetitive lifting and carrying of 50-75 lbs.
- May be required on occasion to lift large components and rigging weighing 100-150 lbs and more.
- Long hours of standing or sitting may be required.
